The Traditional Arts Association (GSD), which acts as a non-governmental organization accredited by UNESCO through the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (2003) in 2018, held a meeting with IRCICA (Research Centre For Islamic History, Art and Culture) o strengthen its ties with the Islamic geography and to carry out joint projects. <\/p>\n
As a result of the meeting, a “COOPERATION PROTOCOL” was signed between IRCICA, which has 57 member countries affiliated with the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and GSD to safeguard, keep alive, and carry traditional Turkish arts onto future generations. <\/p>\n
The signing ceremony for the protocol was held at IRCICA’s headquarters at Gülhane on Monday, 18 September 2023, at 11.00 A.M., together with the members of the board of directors of GSD, who were received by IRCICA General Director Prof. Mahmud Erol K\u0131l\u0131ç.<\/p>\n
