{"id":166569,"date":"2025-09-05T15:31:10","date_gmt":"2025-09-05T12:31:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gelenekselsanatlar.org\/duyuru\/research-fellowship-for-ma-and-phd-studies-in-traditional-arts-and-intangible-cultural-heritage\/"},"modified":"2025-09-05T15:31:10","modified_gmt":"2025-09-05T12:31:10","slug":"research-fellowship-for-ma-and-phd-studies-in-traditional-arts-and-intangible-cultural-heritage","status":"publish","type":"duyuru","link":"https:\/\/gelenekselsanatlar.org\/en\/duyuru\/research-fellowship-for-ma-and-phd-studies-in-traditional-arts-and-intangible-cultural-heritage\/","title":{"rendered":"Research Fellowship for MA and PhD Studies in Traditional Arts and Intangible Cultural Heritage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Research Fellowship for MA and PhD Studies in Traditional Arts and Intangible Cultural Heritage<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<strong>PURPOSE<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To provide academic and financial support to graduate researchers working in the field of Intangible Cultural Heritage.<\/li>\n<li>To strengthen the mission of the Traditional Arts Association by supporting studies based on relevant UNESCO conventions and protection principles.<\/li>\n<li>To encourage field research, theses, articles, publications, and digital documents related to traditional arts and intangible cultural heritage in Turkey.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>WHO CAN APPLY?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applicants must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be a master&#8217;s or doctoral student<\/li>\n<li>Conducting research in cultural heritage, art, art history, folklore, social anthropology, museology, history, heritage management, and cultural policy<\/li>\n<li>Studying at a university in Istanbul<\/li>\n<li>Working on a topic related to traditional arts, crafts, and intangible cultural heritage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>SUPPORTED RESEARCH AREAS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Traditional arts, crafts, and the master-apprentice relationship<\/li>\n<li>Ah&icirc;lik, artisan culture<\/li>\n<li>All topics related to the UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage<\/li>\n<li>Field research and digital documentation<\/li>\n<li>Techniques and rituals in danger of disappearing<\/li>\n<li>Management of intangible cultural heritage<\/li>\n<li>Exhibition of intangible cultural heritage<\/li>\n<li>Cultural policies<\/li>\n<li>Museology and intangible cultural heritage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>APPLICATION DOCUMENTS<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Curriculum Vitae<\/li>\n<li>Student certificate<\/li>\n<li>Transcript<\/li>\n<li>Thesis\/project topic summary (maximum 750 words)<\/li>\n<li>Advisor approval letter<\/li>\n<li>(If available) Sample of previous publications\/work<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>ACADEMIC PROCESS AND MENTORSHIP<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Each scholarship recipient is paired with a mentor from the Traditional Arts Association or a relevant expert.<\/li>\n<li>Requirement to produce a report or publication at the end of the scholarship period:<\/li>\n<li>A field research report or academic article related to the thesis topic in a peer-reviewed journal or in the Lale Culture, Arts, and Civilization Journal.<\/li>\n<li>The copyright of the article to be published at the end of the study will also be granted to the Traditional Arts Association.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A &ldquo;Fellows Symposium&rdquo; may be held at the end of the year.<\/li>\n<li>The works may be added to the digital archive of the Traditional Arts Association.<\/li>\n<li>Selected works may be shared in a print publication or on a web portal.<\/li>\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT &amp; DURATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Duration: October &ndash; June (9 months)<\/li>\n<li>Monthly Stipend:<\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>PhD Students: 13,000 TRY<\/li>\n<li>MA Students:&nbsp; 10,000 TRY<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<li>Number of Recipients: 6 (3 PhD and 3 MA students)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>APPLICATION DEADLINES<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"3168\" data-end=\"3212\">Application Deadline:&nbsp;&nbsp;
