\nThis book describes the types, names, shapes, characteristics, construction methods and functions of chests, baskets, saddles, molds, barrels, sacks, bags, bundles, handkerchiefs, inkwells, boxes, etc., which were produced to store various objects. Today, some preservation names used in Old Turkish such as \u00e7\u00f6\u014bek, \u00fckek, tutma, t\u00fcrgek, bog, \u00e7ug, yetgek, kab\u0131r\u00e7ak, ar\u00e7\u0131, kiz, tagar, yan\u00e7uk have been forgotten and new names such as packaging have come into use. The book focuses on the tradesmen who produced preservation objects as a profession (e.g. basket makers, barrel makers, mold makers) and factories such as sack factories. Preservation objects also became a unit of measurement and a tax base. Enclosures have found a place in mythology, epics, fairy tales, folk songs, divan literature, modern literature and traditions: Baskets left in the water in the shadow of beliefs, Mehmet Akif’s verse story titled “K\u00fcfe”, the bundler matchmakers. Folk literature has also called out “basket after basket of eggs, don’t forget me”.
