8th GÜMÜŞ LALE ÖDÜLÜ GIVEN TO PROF. DR. ZEREN TANINDI
The Gümüş Tulip Ödülülü’nün’, which is presented to the personalities who have dedicated their lives to traditional arts and contributed to the survival, development and promotion of these arts, was awarded to Prof. Dr. Zeren Tananıdı, Art History çs.
 
The Gümüş Tulip, the first award in the field of traditional arts, has been given by GSD since 2006 to the doyens of the field who have dedicated their lives to traditional arts. The eighth Gümüş Tulip, which was previously presented to Hikmet Barut çugil, Hasan Çelebi, Cahide Keskiner, Nurhan Atasoy, İslam Seçen, Ülker Erke and Filiz Çağman’s, will be awarded to Prof. Dr. Zeren Tanındı’ this year. It was presented to Prof. Dr. Zeren Tanındı.
Zeren Tananıdı Award: Book Arts and Culture in the Islamic World and the 8th Gümüş Tulip Ödül Törenaissance was held on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 14.30 at the Sepetçiler Pavilion.
Who is Prof. Dr. Zeren Tananıdı? Prof. Dr. Tanındı received her bachelor’s and doctorate degrees from Istanbul University, Department of Art History. Prof. Tananıdı worked at the Topkapı Palace Müzesi Kütüphaner until 1984 and continued his studies at Bursa Kültür MüdürlüğüğüAfter continuing his studies at Bursa Kültür Mür Müdüon, he moved to Uludağ University and founded the Art History Department in 1994. Prof. Dr. Prof. Dr. Zeren Tananıdı wrote many books, book bölümümü, articles, papers in all fields of Islamic book arts; took part in various exhibitions and projects; and after his retirement, he took part in many exhibitions and projects;After her retirement, she continued to work as a consultant at Sakıp Sabancı Museum and Sadberk Hanım Museum.
