Between 29 November - 8 December 2012 The Association of Traditional Arts, supported by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism organized the widest comprehensive series of activities to support the art of Binding by actualizing the “The International Meeting for the Art of Binding”.
The ten-days lasting activities included a two-day symposium, three exhibitions and four workshop meetings at Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall and Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. The Fifth Silver Tulip Award was granted to Islam Seçen during this event. We also prepared two separate publications; a catalog and a book of communiqués collecting the visual and textual content of the attractive activities in the meeting.
